Health, Speed & Strength

Wednesday Classes | Unavailable

This class combines a Health class and a Fitness class to help students learn about how their bodies work while pushing themselves physically.

The first part of this class will be a lesson on how different systems in your body work, nutrition, injury prevention, and kinesiology. Your child will learn the importance of what fuel you put in your body and the value of exercise to promote lifelong fitness. Healthy choices, breathing exercises, and mental resilience are all just a sample of what we will cover.

The second half of the class we will be getting our heart rates up and making our muscles strong through a combination of sports and fitness activities. Some classes will be conducted outdoors when the weather no longer calls for boots and gloves, but most classes will be done indoors for the winter months. The indoor sessions will push kids with more advanced exercises, HIIT, circuit training, and body weight exercises. Very little equipment will be used indoors as the class will be designed for kids to do the workouts anywhere. Outdoor classes will challenge students to play new games, classic activities, and dynamic movement to raise their heart rates.

This session will cover new material not included the current Speed and Strength class, but will also review portions as well. This class is very open to new students and previous enrollees.
