Step back in time and experience the rugged life of the American frontier with Frontier Skills! Through engaging lessons, hands-on activities, and immersive experiences, students will learn essential survival and craftsmanship skills from the 1700s and 1800s — from fire building and rope making to shelter construction, woodcraft, tracking, and primitive hunting techniques.

Each session blends real history with practical application, often concluding with a game, activity, or story that brings the frontier spirit to life. The year culminates in a festive Rendezvous, where students showcase their skills in friendly contests and traditional trading games. This program fosters resilience, respect, and a deep connection to nature and history, making it a one-of-a-kind educational adventure.

**Classes will take place outside for the majority of the hour. Kids must come dressed appropriately for the weather.
