Explore the fun and practical skills of Fiber Arts!
Learn various fiber art techniques through projects like hand sewing forest animals, embroidery, wet felting a bag, kinusaiga, and weaving arts. Additional projects will include things like needle felting and weaving with plastic bags. Kids will develop confidence and experience the joy that comes through creation with each project they bring home to share and enjoy!
Jenni Thomson
Jenni is an accomplished artist, entrepreneur, and homeschooling mother who brings lifelong artistic passion to our co-op. She studied art and architecture in Italy, providing unique classical training and cultural perspective that enriches her teaching.
Her creative expertise spans multiple mediums—from murals and paintings to hand-sewn clothing and landscape design. Jenni's warm, welcoming presence puts students at ease while she balances technique instruction with creative freedom.
She introduces students to renowned artists throughout history while encouraging each child to develop their own unique style. Her teaching philosophy focuses on inspiration over imitation, fostering genuine artistic growth and confidence through gentle guidance and infectious enthusiasm.
