Tired of creating piles of mud? Are you looking for a reliable consistent paint mixing approach? Do you want to spend 3 days with fabulous people learning things that will make your oil paintings better? Of course you do!

In this three day in person workshop, (great for absolute beginners or veteran painters) we will dive into the complex world of color mixing, perception and relationships.

Day 1 we ensure that we fully understand our tools and use that to develop a color mixing strategy that is repeatable and consistent so we can learn how to make subtle and accurate adjustments to our paint mixes. While color mixing can seem overwhelming or complicated, this approach is all about being logical, and easy to understand.

Day 2 we will learn about and understand the process of making a color study. We will put our mixing and matching strategies to the test with a color study from the flat. There will be a color study demo and students will begin their color study.

Day 3 we will either continue the color study from the previous day or start a new one.

“The class was amazing. Thank you very much. You are such a generous teacher, sharing a wealth of information with us. The class was an excellent introduction to many important things to think about — things that I wish I knew in my past attempts to work in oils.” - Color Bootcamp Student
