Tired of creating piles of mud? Are you looking for a reliable consistent paint mixing approach? Of course you are! In this recorded webinar/3 day workshop, we will dive into the complex world of color mixing, perception and relationships. While color mixing can seem overwhelming or complicated, this approach is all about being logical, and easy to understand. We will go over color theory/color space, and our color mixing/matching strategy.

Day 1 - we ensure that we fully understand our tools and use that to develop a color mixing strategy that is repeatable and consistent so we can learn how to make subtle and accurate adjustments to our paint mixes.

Day 2 - we will learn how to integrate our new-found color mixing/matching skills into our painting practice. We will cover how and why to make a color study. Julie will demo the start of a color study. While the lecture and demo ends partway through the second day, the recordings include visuals and critiques of in person workshop students while they begin making a color study from the flat (from a printed image). Many people find watching the critiques extremely helpful.

Day 3 - full workshop students will continue to work on color studies with feedback and input. Again, the recordings include visuals and critiques of the in person workshop students while they continue a color study.
