Shuttle Tatting Fundamentals

This four-week class can build on skills learned in Shuttle Tatting Foundations OR be your first introduction to the beautiful and meditative art of handmaking lace! For new tatters, you will learn the double stitch and practice making rings, chains, picots, and joins with your very own shuttle tatting kit. Tatters seeking to expand skills will be able to try the continuous thread method, split rings, the magic thread trick, adding beads, frontside/backside tatting, and more! All students will practice reading patterns and choose a project from a variety of ornament, coaster, bookmark, and jewelry patterns to start and finish during class. For complete novices and fiber arts aficionados alike!
$15 materials fee to be paid to the instructor for students needing to purchase a shuttle tatting starter kit; additional supplies available for purchase as needed.
