To Trim or Not to Trim?

Adult (Ages 16+) | Registration opens 10/28/2026 10:00 AM

What’s the big deal about trimming anyway? Bring your leather-hard, in progress work and come find out! In this one session workshop, we will discuss, look at examples, and do demos of different trimming choices you can make to serve the form, function, and aesthetic of your pottery; then you will try out new techniques on your own work. Fine tune your pieces to create more polished and functional work, and learn how to trim to better serve your glazing and decrease stress cracks. Some leather hard pieces will be provided by the instructor for students who don’t have their own work ready. Tuition includes all clay, glazing and firing.
