Introduction to Procreate for Adults

Curious about digital art but aren't sure where to start? This beginner-friendly crash course workshop will introduce you to the essentials of Procreate, a digital art program for iPad. We'll dive into Procreate's most useful (and often hidden) features including key shortcuts and settings, how to use layers & brushes, and go over some basic fundamentals of digital illustration! This workshop is perfect for artists who are new to Procreate or those who have been using the app but want to better understand how to maximize the program's functionality. While you do not have to have an iPad and Procreate to take this class (you're free to attend to learn about the program & see if it would be a good fit for you!), I HIGHLY recommend bringing your own iPad with the program downloaded so you can follow along!

Nala J. Wu (aka Jae) is a proud multiple-marginalized art director and award-winning illustrator who works full-time doing freelance for tabletop roleplaying games. They specialize in character/costume design, life drawing, portraiture, layout design, and cover/key art. Besides art, Nala enjoys voice acting, experimenting with makeup, eating ungodly amounts of pasta, and Committing to the Bit (whatever the Bit may be).
