The Joy of Creating- History and Exploration
Adult Workshop (Age 16+) | Registration opens 2/4/2026 10:00 AM
Through a presentation and open dialogue, we’ll explore why American culture often undervalues art, and how that mindset shapes the confidence of emerging artists. Participants will examine basic concepts like mixing secondary and tertiary colors. These basic concepts will act as a starting point for deeper questions about creativity, purpose, and cultural values. We’ll also look at historical and contemporary artists whose work offers inspiration and insight into the artist’s life today. My goal is to help participants reclaim the joy of creating for its own sake.
