Upcycle Your Life!

Adult (Ages 16+) | Registration opens 11/5/2025 10:00 AM

Upcycling is about giving your junk a second life and keeping it out of the landfill. Join artist Wendy Xu for three projects that will transform your junk into new and unique items. For project 1, we will weave a bag out of old clothing and textiles- perfect for that bag of clothing that's never made it to the goodwill bin. Project 2 will utilize that growing collection of takeout containers and plastic utensils to make a compost bin. Project 3 will put your drying christmas tree or holiday wreath to good use in your garden and give you a head start on your spring decor! For creative minds of all ages and skill levels looking for a way to upcycle. Students should plan to bring their own junk for upcycling, but the instructor will provide some materials as well.
