Mirror Mosaics (Lippan Art)

This class is inspired by an ancient traditional Indian art known as “Lippan Art” which is done using clay and mirrors. Students will learn about this traditional art and how to create beautiful design patterns. Students will create the design using clay and add embellishment of the mirrors. Finally, they will finish with a beautiful and colorful artwork featuring a combination of clay, mirrors and acrylic paints. At the end, students will take home 2 artworks created by them.

Chaitrali Yadav
Chaitrali Kate-Yadav, is a Boston based versatile artist. She is a designer at Creations-handmade art and jewelry and enjoys making jewelry, crocheting and making decorative artifacts.
As a painter, Chaitrali has been working in different media such as acrylics, oil pastels, pencil, watercolor and oil. She is also practicing and teaching Indian Folk Art Forms like Madhubani Art, Gond Art, Kalamkari, Warli Art.
She has been exhibiting at local galleries and selling her work on Facebook and from her own residence in Weston.
Chaitrali loves to share her passion with kids and adults by teaching drawing and painting.
