Handbuilding for Beginners/Intermediates

In-Person: Adult | Registration closed 9/27/2024

We are easily seduced by the potter’s wheel, but there are a multitude of ways that handbuilding can create just as seductive pieces of work. Explore the methods of handbuilding using just your hands and some additional tools, just as the ancient masters! In this class, you will learn how to create functional and sculptural pieces using pinching, coiling and slab building to name a few. You will also learn a variety of surface decoration techniques using glaze and underglaze. All levels are welcome.
