Afternoon Teen Ceramics Studio (In-Person)

Teen (Gr 7-12) | This program is completed

Teens can explore clay through this hybrid class exploring both wheel throwing and handbuilding. Learn basic skills to produce forms, firing and glazing. Not a beginner? Use this time to join our class and refine your craft! Students with previous wheel throwing experience and handbuilding experience will have the opportunity to practice and grow their skills alongside other students and a professional ceramicist instructor. Open to students ages 12 – 18.

    Based on current guidance from the Arlington Department of Health, CDC, and other local and national public health agencies, Arlington Center for the Arts (ACA) will no longer require proof of COVID vaccinations for participation in our programs, including classes, camps, exhibits, performances, and events. While masks continue to be optional at ACA, they are strongly recommended, and we encourage everyone to review current masking recommendations from the CDC to inform their personal choices.


    ACA is aware that public health guidance re: COVID-19 continues to change and evolve – all current policies are subject to change, in order to best align with current guidance and to preserve the safety of all of our constituents. Please be on the lookout for updated policies and protocols moving forward.

Ellie House

Ellie House is a clay artist and teacher with a BFA in Ceramics from Massachusetts College of Art and design. Her work is mostly functional and focuses largely on color and surface decoration. She is passionate about continuing her practice and sharing her love of ceramics with students and artists of all ages.
