Stop Motion for Kids (Gr 3-6) (In-Person)
In-Person: Kids | This program is completed
In this eight week class, students will have the opportunity to write, storyboard, direct and animate their own short animated films. Over eight weeks students will learn skills in visual storytelling, plotting a successful story, creating likable characters, learn the principles of animation in order to create a short film. We will be working with many mediums, such as cut paper, clay, found objects, and more! Students will have the opportunity to create stop motion short films in whatever medium they choose.
- We will be animating in stop motion in class! To participate, we request students bring a smartphone or tablet equipped with the “Stop Motion Studio” app. This app is completely free, and we have already done a demo for it in class. Let us know if this is not doable for your family and we will find a solution.
