Indigo Dyed Shibori (In-Person)
Adult (Ages 16+) | This program is completed
In this 3 session workshop students will learn different types of shibori (ways of resisting dye) to create gorgeous patterns. By hand stitching, folding and clamping, and binding we will be making the resists. Then we will dye the pieces in Indigo, creating stunning patterns in blue. These techniques have been used for centuries around the world, but most notably in Japan. This class is for beginners or anyone wanting to stitch, fold, dye, and have a great experience.
- Rubber gloves and plastic bags for the 2nd day. Also, students need to come dressed for the 2nd day for dyeing.
