Explore gouache on panel, painting representational images from observation or using photographic resources. Gouache is an opaque watercolor paint with rich, matte color. Working on a panel provides a stable support for applying many layers, and once varnished can be framed without glass. Build technical painting skills (color mixing and mark) and consider concepts (composition and scale) as you develop paintings to convey meaning.
