This workshop is designed for every artist regardless of skill and professional level. Understanding and handling the finances of your creativity can be overwhelming. This workshop will cover topics like: deductions for artists, year-round bookkeeping, creating a budget, taxes, accounting tools, and ways to keep track of your expenses. Participates will gain a confident understanding of how to effectively handle their finances no matter how big or small their business aspirations are.

  • This class is free on Zoom and is available to artists of all ages and levels of experience. Please have something to take notes for your reference.
Koon, Anna

(she/her/hers) A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, Anna Koon lives and works as a full-time visual artist in the Boston neighborhood of Jamaica Plain. In addition to being in the studio throughout the week, she is the Founder and Director of the Focusing Series, which offers professional development workshops tailored to artists. Anna has taught for various organizations throughout Massachusetts. She brings her years of experience as a small business consultant and entrepreneur to the classroom, and she offers ongoing support to artists as a creative coach.
