Do you have a journal with different story ideas that you'd like to develop and publish? Have you always wanted to be a writer of fiction and short stories? Then this is the class for you! For this class, we will conduct writing exercises and explore different types of fiction genres.

Laura Kiesel is a widely published essayist, journalist and poet. Her articles and essays have been featured in The Atlantic, The Guardian, the Washington Post, Politico, Salon, Narratively, Vice, Vox, Ozy, Science and many other outlets. Her poems have been featured in upstreet, Naugatuck River Review, Fox Chase Review, Ibbetson Street, Noctua Review, Medulla Review and more. In addition to working as a professional freelance writer and editor, she is also a part of the faculty at Arlington Center for the Arts and Grub Street, where she teaches workshops in memoir, essay writing and literary journalism.
