The world is so full of beautiful colors, tints, and shades that sometimes the options can be overwhelming! If have always wished you could use color more effectively in your creations, come join us for this great intro to color theory! We'll be discussing basic color principles as well as how to use color to create the mood and atmosphere you want in your work. The right combination of colors can really make a piece sing! This fun, flexible workshop will use a variety of tools and approaches tailored to however you like to create. Painters, drawers, quilters/sewers, needleworkers, crocheters, and knitters are all welcome!

  • Basic acrylic paint set (Artist's Loft from Michaels)
  • Basic colored pencil set (Crayola is great!)
  • Basic watercolor set (Artist's Loft from Michaels)
  • number 2 pencils/mechanical pencils
  • eraser
  • regular sharpie
  • fine line sharpie
  • watercolor pad or heavy paper drawing pad 9x12 or slightly larger
  • brushes of choice, cup to wash and palette or plate for mixing
