Creativity Lab
Adult (Ages 16+) | This program is completed
4 Wednesdays, 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
Push the edges of your imagination and awareness by experimenting with creative tools in new ways. You’re invited to experiment by delving into less practiced artistic areas where mistakes and imperfections can yield insights into imagery, content and motive. Through photos, color, writing, sound, texture, poetry, video and found material you see where energy lies that you can shape for personal, professional and community purposes. You’ll explore scale and the right-sizing of images for impact. You‘ll work in series to get beneath the layers. Whether you are looking for inspiration in your artistic practice or purpose in your worklife, you’ll identify themes, update your awareness and find the energy to take your next steps.
- 10 pieces of ephemera (bills, movie receipts, scraps of this and that, postcards, draft card, a cancelled check. etc)
- art materials that you want to be working with / a large journal or pad of unlined paper (11x14ish) / a pen / glue or other fixative / an object of uncertain purpose
