Great chance for professional artists working on a body of work, and for high school students working on a portfolio for college admission.


Meet the Reviewers:

Clara Lieu is an Adjunct Professor at the Rhode Island School of Design, and a Partner at ART PROF, a free, online educational platform for visual arts.

Clara's studio practice uses drawing, printmaking, and sculpture as means towards exploring the extremes of human emotion. She has exhibited work at the International Print Center New York, the Danforth Museum of Art, the Currier Museum of Art, and the Davis Museum. Clara has received artist grants from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation and the Puffin Foundation.

Lauryn Welch started her undergraduate studies at Rhode Island School of Design, and finished her BFA in painting and drawing at SUNY Purchase College. In her artwork, she explores how color and pattern are used on the body to express or conceal one’s identity. Her work has been shown across the Northeast, and has been featured in Art New England and New American Paintings.

Casey Roonan is an illustrator and designer whose work includes editorial illustrations for online non-fiction publication Narratively and album covers for Brooklyn music collective Mama Coco’s Funky Kitchen. He also writes and draws comics, including short stories for the webcomic and risograph print illustration zine Ciambella, which he edits with Michael Karpiel.
