We'll take a look at different kites cross-culturally, examining photos for their structure, materials, cultural significance, and artistic flare. With this in mind, every student will design their own kite. You'll have the choice of learning how to build a sturdy, weather-proof kite, and/or making a beautiful paper kite with your own artistic touches (and story!). Materials will be supplied for both, and if the weather permits, we'll test all of them outside together!

  • Art for Everyone is a program from the Arlington Center for the Arts, designed to provide accommodations for all participants as they explore different mediums and let their imaginations run wild! This series of workshops and classes includes modifications to offer every student a fun and creative opportunity for self-expression.
