Saturday, 2/24, 1:00-4:00 pm
Would you like to explore your world, near and far? Travel photography is not just an activity; it is a state of mind, whether the destination is global or local. Traveling with camera in hand is an opportunity to broaden your perspective, deepen your understanding and communicate those experiences to an audience. In this presentation based workshop, you'll learn how to travel light and plan a trip anywhere with photography as a focus.
Topics include research, planning, packing, transportation, safety, camera selection and being a traveler at home.
- Feel free to bring something to take notes on.
Douglas Seigars
Doug is a photographer based in Arlington, who studied at the College of Art and Design at Lesley University. Natural and urban landscapes are the focus of his work, particularly after dark. Straddling the boundary between conceptual and documentary, impermanence and mystery are important elements that inform his work. Long-exposure, atmosphere, minimalism and the ethereal characterize his aesthetic. Examples of his work may be viewed at douglasseigars.com.
