A day workshop creating small paintings of plants and flowers, from life, with attention to color and form and composition. The instructor, Sarah, will guide you through the process of both envisioning and creating your paintings.

We'll have small cradled boards available to paint on. If you would like to bring your own watercolor or coldpress paper as well, feel free!

Please bring a $10 material fee, payable to the instructor.

  • Please bring your choice of watercolors or acrylics, a few small brushes, a pencil and eraser, and a water jar.
Hirsch, Sarah

Sarah Hirsch is an artist-writer-teacher, grown on the island part of Rhode Island, living and painting and teaching in Somerville MA. She holds a BA from Colby College and has worked extensively in France and Morocco.
