The focus will be on a direct approach to painting the male and female portrait from life. We will work on application, indication and manipulation of edge, value and ultimately color to indicate the head in oil. Beginners to painting can use monochrome only paints to make things easier and cut down on expenses. Intermediate students can use the four color Zorn palette. Advanced students can use a warm-cool palette. Choose a palette that is appropriate for your skill level.

This class is a continuation of the morning class (10:00am-1:00pm) with the same model and the same pose, giving students the opportunity to work on a 6 hour portrait if desired.
