Draped Figure Drawing
Class | Available
Emphasis will be placed on gaining an in-depth understanding of the body’s geometry and anatomical structure and how that relates to the drapery and clothes on top. We will work in a tonal fashion to interpret the live model. Focus will be on understanding the 7 key folds and how they relate to a figure. The eye will be trained to observe, analyze, and execute edges, values, anatomical nuances, and ultimately calligraphy and idealization. Instructor demonstrations and critiques are standard.
This class will use charcoal drawing materials. For a complete list of materials www.wattsatelier.com/materials#Charcoal
