This class is designed for all levels of experience and development. The class will utilize 1, 2, 3, and 5 minute poses from the costumed model to develop spontaneity and accuracy. Drapery folds and costumes will be used to get a sense of quick sketching clothed figures. Using a rhythmical grid known as the “Abstraction,” we will encourage students to work on gesture, proportion, figure design, and calligraphy. Instructor demonstrations and critiques are standard.
