Small Studies for Studio Landscape Painting

Each week students will work on creating thumbnail studies that can be used for larger studio finishes in the future. The class will go over finding good reference, simplified value studies, and creating color studies. Each week students will learn the fundamentals on how to design and compose the landscape. Students are encouraged to use their own reference if possible.
- Students will be working in oil paints. Any palette will do, however for the most fundamental palette recommended would be the Christensen Palette (White, Cad Yellow Light, Cad Red Med, Ultramarine Blue).
