This class will focus on the direct approach to painting the figure from life. Great class for all levels of painters.
- Painting Grounds (Preferred Brand: Fredrix)
- 9”x12” to 16”x20” (Please stay within these size perimeters.)
- Canvas: Fredrix prestretched canvas: red or green label
- Panels: Fredrix archieval canvas panels
- Brushes (Preferred Brands: Robert Simmons Signet Bristles and Langnickel Sables)
- An assortment of rounds, filberts and flats in sable and bristle.
- Below is an assortment of recommended sizes in bristles and sables.
- (Note: It is not necessary to have all of these sizes but a good idea to work towards getting them.)
- Bristles (Robert Simmons):
- Filberts 2, 4, 6, 8
- Flats 2, 4, 6, 8
- Rounds 0, 1, 2, 4, 6
- Sables (Langnickel if possible, other brands are fine as well):

- Cleaning Solvent: Gamsol Oderless Mineral Spirits by Gamblin
- Solvent container
- Masters Brush Soap
- Palette: Wood or plastic
- Note: Freezer paper is another option.
