Animal Portraits in Oil
Class | Registration opens 12/30/2024 9:00 AM PST
This class will focus on the art of wildlife portraiture in oils. Students will paint a new animal each week, and learn techniques used to indicate and render various textures and patterns commonly found in the animal kingdom. The instructor will also share insights into animal behavior and biology, which can subtly influence and guide the artistic decisions we make when painting animals. While photo reference will be provided, students are free to bring in their own animal reference to work from. Instructor demonstrations and one-on-one critiques will be common.
- This class will use oil painting materials.
