Drapery: 7 Key Folds
Class | Registration opens 12/30/2024 9:00 AM PST
This class will focus on the seven basic folds. We will begin with academic study of the "anatomy" of the fold as well as study when and why they occur. Moving on we will learn to observe the way the folds are formed in a more "real world" situation as well as how to redesign these folds for better effect and composition. Learning to make sense of the apparent randomness of natural folds is a key ingredient in picture making, and the best way to do this is from the live model. Class work will be done from handouts, master studies, photographs and finally the live model, teacher demonstrations and critiques are standard.
