Please note: this is designed for continuing students from beginning watercolor classes.

For this 3-week course, we will work on specific projects including how to improve our brush work, saving our whites & creating convincing shadows.

  • Brushes: 1” Flat ½” Angled Flat A Medium Round (#4-#8) A Small Round (#2/0-#2)
    Paint: A good inexpensive paint set or Winsor Newton Cotman tubes:
    Permanent Rose
    Cadmium Yellow
    Pale Hue Ultramarine
    Cadmium Red
    Light Hue Viridian
    Dioxazine Purple
    Raw Umber
    Other:
    1 22x30 sheet of good watercolor paper quartered
    Inexpensive pad of watercolor paper 9x12 or 11x15 (Strathmore 400, Canson Montval, etc)
    Small Sketchbook
    HB pencil
    Moo or White vinyl eraser
    Water bucket
    Paper towels
    Tape, & a board to tape your paper to
    Palette, or something to mix your paint on (ceramic plate)
    Optional:
    Watercolor Pencils
