A contemplative look at the nature of the bending trees, how they reach through gravity, while deepening our reach within ourselves for growth for our techniques of observation & drawing them.

  • Recommended:
  • Medium size sketchbook (recommended spiral bound in a size you can hold in your lap)
  • Assorted graphite pencils – 2B to 6B
  • Kneaded eraser
  • Micron pen(s) or any ink pen
  • Optional:
  • Larger drawing pad (for homework)
  • Vine charcoal
  • Blending stumps
  • Other things you may need:
  • Bag in which to carry supplies
  • Chair or stool
  • Shade hat
  • Sunscreen
  • Drinking water
  • Snacks
  • Blanket or jacket (it can get quite cool, especially while sitting still)
