Outdoor, in-person class, meeting at parks, participants must be masked, Locations include La Madera Park, nearby Art Park at The Drawing Studio, and Ft Lowell Park.

Explore the natural world through detailed drawings and watercolor painting of plants and natural objects. Measure and make notations like the artist-scientists and illustrators DaVinci and Beatrix Potter.
Guided watercolor techniques presented.

  • Watercolor paper pad, 9” x 12”, Canson or Strathmore
  • Pan watercolor set with brush, Prang set preferred
  • Light weight masonite or cardboard board and clips to hold sheets of paper
  • Pencil, pencil sharpener or mechanical pencil
  • White vinyl eraser
  • Water container (not glass)
  • Paper towels
  • 12” ruler
  • Sun screen, water bottles, hats
