Artists will build on the fundamentals of drawing through observation while pushing their creative skills to new heights. We will incorporate value, play with line work, and explore lighting in our drawings. We will be using, graphite, pen, and ink washes to create comic characters with superhuman powers.

  • Drawing paper (White and toned gray/tan)
  • Graphite pencils of varying hardness (2H - 8B)
  • Kneaded eraser
  • Rubber eraser
  • Charcoal pencil
  • White charcoal pencil
  • Compressed charcoal stick
  • Pencil sharpener
  • Blending stump or paper towel
  • Black ball-point pen
  • paint brushes (a variety of sizes pointed brushes and round/wash brushes)
  • India Ink
