Artists will build on the fundamentals of color theory through watercolor painting. We will create expressive paintings using salt and wax resists. Artists will also use their observation skills to draw and paint from life.

  • Required:
  • Watercolor set (includes at least yellow, red, and blue)
  • Watercolor paint brushes (a variety of sizes like square and round brushes)
  • Watercolor paper (student grade)
  • Sponge/paper towel
  • 2 cups for water
  • Pencil
  • Eraser
  • Optional:
  • Artist tape
  • Sea salt
  • Wax crayon
  • Colored pencils
  • Rubber cement or liquid resist
