The ability to conceptualize the way light works on the form is a powerful skill to have in your artist toolbox, whether you enjoy making 2D art that is realistic— or more expressive!

We will begin by discussing the physics of light and how it creates light and shadow on a simple sphere, and move to more complicated forms and the human figure. Once you know these concepts, you will be able to return to your work with a new level of understanding.

You will leave this workshop with exercises you can practice on your own.
