In this course, students will develop an acute sensitivity to subtle value transitions between figure and ground. Using a variety of dry media on paper, we will redefine how a drawing is built. We will explore the use of tone, while resisting the urge to rely on outlining shapes. Through various methods, students will deepen their ability to recognize and render three-dimensional forms in space.
