Color Study with Nell O'Leary
Workshop | Available
Color Study introduces students to the fundamentals of seeing and understanding color through observation. Beginning with simple objects and still-life arrangements, students will explore color relationships, value, temperature, saturation, and the effects of light on form.
As the class progresses, these principles will be applied to the figure, allowing students to develop a more nuanced understanding of skin tones, reflected color, and the interaction of light and color across the human form. Through guided exercises and painting studies, students will build a stronger ability to observe, mix, and apply color with confidence and intention.
Designed for students looking to strengthen their understanding of color, the class offers a progression from foundational studies to more complex figure work.
