During the duration of the class, students will learn to handle optical and conceptual ideas as they pertain to portraiture. With achieving a likeness being a primary goal, students will improve their seeing of specific proportion and shape while anchoring themselves in structure and perspective. With shorter poses initially, the class will focus on achieving a specific block-in, then transition towards longer poses where light and form can be discovered through value.
