In this class, we will look at a systematic, procedural way to paint the figure. We will look at strategies and goals relative to three basic stages in the development of a painting, focusing first on drawing, then color, then detail. Along the way, we will discuss medium use and the principle of fat over lean. We will look at various palettes and when to use more or less color. And we will look at material handling, paint thickness and transparency, and brush types.
