This immersive four-day workshop is designed to guide artists through the process of creating compelling portrait work using pastels as the primary medium. Throughout the experience, participants will work from a live model posing in costume, offering a rich and dynamic subject to inspire expressive and detailed portraits.

Students will explore the unique qualities of pastel, learning how to effectively handle the medium while developing techniques to achieve depth, texture, and vibrant color. The workshop will introduce both foundational approaches and innovative methods specific to pastel, helping artists expand their skill set and confidence.

By the end of the four days, participants will have gained practical knowledge, new creative strategies, and a deeper understanding of how to bring portrait subjects to life through the versatile and expressive medium of pastel.
