Bennett is also the co-founder, along with his spouse, Dr. Elaine Melotti Schmidt, of The Bennett Prize for Women Figurative Realists, a biannual art prize that awards $50,000 to a woman painter so that she may mount her own solo show that travels the country. www.thebennettprize.org

In addition to these activities, Bennett and Schmidt are independent curators and philanthropists supporting various arts and human welfare initiatives. Their most recent effort is sponsoring The Femme Touch, an exhibition that studies the influence of women on the life and art of Andy Warhol, which opens at The Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh in April, 2020.
