This course provides basic understanding and skills required for nursing assistants in today’s healthcare settings. There are multiple learning opportunities with a comprehensive lecture, hands on practice and supportive learning environments. Focus includes basic adult and geriatric care, an introduction to pediatric care.
Our Program meets all Washington State and OBRA requirements. Certified Nursing Assistants are eligible to work in a variety of healthcare settings to include Long Term Care, Hospitals, Rehabilitation units, Home Health care and Medical Clinics. Many healthcare professional programs such as Nursing, Paramedic and Physician Assistant schools require students to have some experience and/or training as a nursing assistant prior to the program completion.

  • Classes are usually held Mondays - Friday. There will be no classes held on June 6th, 7th, & 8th. The first 9 days will be lecture/lab/skills training in the classroom. The classroom hours will be 8am - 4pm. The next 5 days will be clinical days. Clinical hours will be 6am - 2:30pm.
  • The final 2 days will be back in the classroom (8am - 4pm)

  • *Important* All students will need a TB test before they can attend clinical. Students can submit a TB (PPD) skin test or TB blood test. These tests need to be less than a year old. You may also submit a negative chest X-Ray if you have ever been exposed to TB or test positive on the skin test.**
