Fall Birding Field Trip

Explore the remarkable diversity of birding habitats found throughout the Galveston area, from coastal shorelines and tidal flats to inland marshes and wooded sanctuaries. These field trips will visit premier Upper Texas Coast birding locations including East Beach, Bolivar Flats, Moody Gardens and Galveston Island State Park. Participants may observe shorebirds, wading birds, waterfowls, raptors, and mi gratory songbirds in a variety of natural ecosystems. Along the way, participants will learn about coastal ecology, bird migration, habitat conservation, and the importance of the Gulf Coast as a critical stop over for migratory birds. Participants will meet at designated locations; directions will be provided prior to each field trip. (Limit 20)
