Hidden Risk of Untreated Hearing Loss: Exploring Fall Risks Related to Hearing Loss and Prevention Tips
According to the CDC, falls are the leading cause of injury for adults aged 65 years and older, and about 14 million older adults report falling every year. A 2025 systematic research study showed people with hearing loss are at a 51% greater risk of falling compared to those with normal hearing. This presentation explores the fall risks associated with untreated hearing loss, and an Audiologist’s role in the intervention and prevention of fall risks.
