King Richard III, Shakespeare's Villain, Found and Exonerated
Seminar | Registration opens 5/12/2025 9:00 AM CDT
King Richard III of England was portrayed as an evil villain and murderer in William Shakespeare’s famous play “Richard III.” Recently, his body has been found under a parking lot in the city of Leicester and forensically examined and DNA-tested.
Also, contemporary manuscripts have been uncovered in France and the Netherlands which clear Richard as a suspect in the murder of two princes in the Tower of London; and instead, point the blame toward Richard’s enemy and successor Henry Tudor, who became King Henry VII after defeating Richard in the 1485 Battle of Bosworth.
