International Law and The Law of War
Seminar | Available (Membership Required)
It seems as though an armed conflict or war is going on somewhere in the world in every minute of every day. Under International Law, when are those conflicts legal? If not legal, are there any consequences? And, what rules govern the actual combat from the types of weapons that may be used and how? We will also look at what is meant by a “just war”. Jerry Jackson has served in both the Army and the Air Force and practiced International Law. He was the principle professor of International Law at the U.S. Air Force Academy for four years and retired professor at the University of Houston. (Limit 20)
