Ethics vs Science in the Age of AI and Genetic Engineering

In this 8-week course, we’ll review some of the ethical dilemmas we have faced in the past and explore in detail those that we must consider in the future as technology and genetic engineering advance at an unprecedented rate. We will discuss our ethical responsibility to provide a sustainable future for generations to come, and how that might be accomplished.

NO CLASS on Oct. 15 for Fall Break.

Marshall Topham

Marshall is a lifelong outdoor enthusiast. He holds a B.S. degree in Zoology with minors in Botany and Chemistry and an M.S. in biology from the University of Hawaii, as well as an M.S.in Public Administration from USU. An educator for 40 years, Marshall has served on numerous boards and committees for federal, state, and local entities. He teaches Environmental Science at Utah Tech University.
