This is a continuation of my Fall 2024 class "Intermountain Massacres and Murders." This class will focus on incidents outside of Utah, in California, Wyoming, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon and South Dakota, as the West was conquered through a series of bloody clashes. Man's inhumanity to man is on full display in the dozen or so incidents we will cover.

Douglas Bowen

Doug Bowen holds a BA in German Literature and has taught for ICL since 2003.  He and his family moved to St. George in 1990, after Doug retired as a non-profit agency executive in several states and Germany. Doug served as the director for ICL’s Annual Geology bus tour from 2018-2025.
